A good module should feel like:
concept → intuition → simulation → practice → takeaway
Here’s the clean template I’d recommend for every module page on your stats course site.
✅ Ideal Module Structure (Perfect for Your Website)
Each module should have these 6 components:
- Big Idea (1–2 sentences)
Start with the intuition, not definitions.
Example:
Sampling is the reason statistics exists: every estimate is noisy because data is finite.
This orients the reader immediately.
- Core Concept (Plain English explanation)
Explain without symbols first.
Example:
A sample mean is not the truth
It’s one noisy draw from a distribution of possible sample means
No math yet.
- Visual Intuition (1 figure or plot)
Stats becomes real when seen.
Examples:
Histogram of outcomes
Sampling distribution
Regression residual cloud
CI coverage picture
Even one plot is enough.
- Interactive Simulation (Shinylive embed or link) ⭐
This is your signature strength.
Example:
CLT slider: increase n → distribution tightens
Bootstrap slider: CI stabilizes
p-value simulator: false positives appear

- Mini Practice (3 questions max)
Keep it light but engaging.
